Boarding the Bus from Hiroshima Bus Center
1. Go to the departures side of the bus terminal and find Bus Stand 9.
2. Get on the bus toward Hamada (Hiragana: はまだ, Kanji: 浜田). The schedule is the one farthest to the left.
3. Japanese transportation is extremely punctual. Several buses come and go in the span of a few minutes, so be sure to confirm the destination and board the bus for “Hamada.” It will be written on the side of the bus as 浜田. If you are unsure, ask the driver or a station attendant.
- English: Is this the bus for Hamada?
- Romaji: Kono basu wa Hamada yuki desu ka?
- Hiragana: この ばす は はまだ ゆき ですか？
- Kanji: このバスは浜田行きですか？
Note on Buses: Three bus companies service Ohnan: Iwami Kotsu (picture below), Hiroden and JR Chugoku. Japan Rail Passes can only be used on JR Chugoku buses. Please check the JR bus schedule for departure times.
